The Coach
With over a decade of elite lacrosse experience — as a player, coach, and program builder — L.E.A.P. was founded on a simple belief: every athlete deserves coaching that takes them seriously. We develop stick skills, athleticism, and the competitive mindset that separates good players from great ones.

What We Offer
Choose your path — private coaching, position-specific group sessions, camps, or clinics. Every program is designed to build complete, confident lacrosse players.
Coach Shane has spent 12 years coaching lacrosse, and the thing that keeps him coming back is watching a player click — that moment when something finally makes sense and you can see it in how they move. He played two-way midfield in high school and went on to play college lacrosse as an LSM and close defender, so he understands the game from both ends of the field and brings that perspective into every session.
He built his coaching career at Aliso Niguel High School over more than a decade, helping grow a program that competed at the highest level and won a D2 championship. The wins mattered, but what he's most proud of is the culture — players who worked hard, trusted the process, and became better athletes and better teammates because of it.
As a strength and conditioning coach and speed and agility specialist, his sessions go beyond the stick. He works on the full picture — athleticism, footwork, body positioning, and the small details that add up to big improvement over time. No matter where you're starting from, Coach Shane will give you an honest assessment and a clear path forward.
Coach Pops played attackman coming up, and with over a decade of coaching experience, that playing background still informs how he works with athletes — he thinks like a player, which means he knows where the confusion usually lives and how to help athletes work through it. He's led programs at Segerstrom High School, Cal State Fullerton, and is currently the head coach at San Juan Hills High School, bringing a level of system knowledge and game understanding that's hard to find in a private setting.
His sessions focus on the fundamentals that actually move the needle — footwork, off-ball awareness, positioning, and composure under pressure. He's detail-oriented without being overwhelming, and he has a way of breaking things down that makes sense regardless of where you are in your development.
Athletes who work with Coach Pops tend to leave not just with better technique, but with a deeper understanding of why things work. That's what separates good training from great training — and it's what he shows up to deliver every session.
Offensive group sessions are built around creating and finishing — dodging lanes, off-ball movement, feeding, shooting under pressure, and reading defensive schemes. Athletes work through competitive 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 scenarios that mirror game situations. Every rep has a purpose. Incoming freshmen and above.
You bring 3–6 athletes, we bring the coaching. Sessions are scheduled around your group's availability.
Defensive group sessions focus on the skills that win games — on-ball positioning, slide coverage, communication, clearing, and disrupting offensive sets. Athletes drill footwork, body positioning, and stick checks in live-rep environments. LSMs welcome. Incoming freshmen and above.
You bring 3–6 athletes, we bring the coaching. Sessions are scheduled around your group's availability.
Fuel your training the right way. This monthly add-on pairs with any private or group program and includes a personalized athlete nutrition plan, meal timing guidance around practice and training sessions, hydration protocols, and ongoing check-ins to adjust based on how you're feeling and performing. Because what you do off the field is just as important as what you do on it.
Spots fill fast — especially for private training. Reach out today and let's talk about where you want to take your game.
